What it is
CortovaTABC is seller-server certification for anyone who sells or serves alcohol in Texas — bartenders, waitstaff, convenience and grocery clerks. It covers the law that protects your job and your license: minors, intoxicated persons, non-members, and the personal criminal liability that comes with getting it wrong.
Why the usual certificate mill fails you
Seller-server training is a race-to-the-bottom market: $5–$8 courses that exist to print certificates. The material is a legal summary nobody reads, the videos are decades old, and the test is designed to be passed without learning. Then a sting operation walks in, and the server who "passed" serves a minor — because the course never made the law real.
